In the modern industrial automation field, linear guideways, as core components of precision transmission systems, have their material selection and heat treatment processes directly determining the final product performance. Through continuous technological research and development, Zhejiang Baili Guide Rail Co., Ltd. has made significant breakthroughs in material science and heat treatment. The alloy steel we use undergoes special formula design, maintaining excellent toughness while ensuring high hardness. Taking the HGR25 series guideways as an example, the high-carbon chromium bearing steel used in this product, after deep carburizing and quenching treatment, achieves surface hardness of HRC60-64 while maintaining sufficient toughness in the material core. This innovative gradient material structure effectively solves the surface peeling problem common in traditional materials under heavy load conditions, increasing product service life to more than three times that of conventional guideways.

In terms of heat treatment processes, we have innovatively developed multi-stage stress relief technology. This process achieves optimal metallographic structure within the material by precisely controlling heating temperature, holding time, and cooling rate. Particularly in the manufacturing process of 500mm medium-length guideways, we combine cyclic heat treatment with natural aging to completely release internal material stresses. Through rigorous testing, guideways using this advanced process demonstrate over 40% improvement in dimensional stability during long-term use compared to traditional products. To ensure uniformity of heat treatment effects, we have established constant-temperature precision grinding workshops, completing finishing processes in a 20±0.5℃ constant-temperature environment, effectively controlling material thermal deformation.
In surface treatment technology, our developed composite coating technology significantly improves coating adhesion by adding an intermediate transition layer on the basis of traditional hard chromium plating. Test data show that the bonding strength between this new coating and the substrate reaches more than twice that of traditional processes. This breakthrough technology has been successfully applied to the SBR16 series guideways, effectively extending service life under harsh working conditions. Meanwhile, our 400mm compact guideways use aerospace-grade alloy steel and special low-temperature tempering processes, significantly improving material dimensional stability while maintaining high hardness, enabling stable accuracy performance even in environments with severe temperature fluctuations.
